Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Mental Health

We’re looking for you to become a valued member of the healthcare team at our client’s behavioral health facility!

FNP Details

• Full Time Schedules

• Some weekends may be required

• 8 or 10 hour shifts available depending on the facility

• Contract Position (flexible with shift availability is a plus)

FNP Duties

• Conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and physical examinations

• Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic mental health conditions

• Prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications in accordance with state regulations

• Developing, implementing, and adjusting individualized treatment plans

• Collaborating with psychiatrists, therapists, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members

• Providing crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed

• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and labs

• Providing patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans

• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards

FNP Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

• Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner by the State in which the position is located. The license MUST be in good standing

• Prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations

• 1+ year of relevant Nurse Practitioner experience (behavioral health experience preferred)
