We’re looking for you to become a valuable part of the team.
Dietitian Details
- On-site position at Western Mental Health Institute, Bolivar, TN
- Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm CST
- 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
- 12-month contract, renewable
- 3 openings available
Dietitian Duties
- Plan therapeutic diets and menus and administer medical nutrition therapy to prevent and treat disease
- Assess and analyze data from medical records including diagnoses, nutrition history, food intake, anthropometric data, and laboratory results
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans and provide nutritional counseling
- Calculate weight range, BMI, and daily nutritional needs including caloric intake, proteins, fluids, and other nutrients
- Review caloric and nutrient content of individual and facility menus and recommend adjustments to meet therapeutic needs
- Serve as a nutrition consultant to medical and nursing staff
- Support patient and family education on dietary needs and nutritional health
Dietitian Qualifications
- Must be a licensed Registered Dietitian — active licensure required
- Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, nutrition, home economics (food), or closely related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional dietetics experience including at least 1 year as a registered dietitian
- Experience in acute, sub-acute, or behavioral health settings preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records preferred
