DDS/DMD Details

• Full-Time Schedule
• 10-hour shifts available
• Monday–Friday schedule
• No weekends
• Contract Position

DDS/DMD Duties

• Provide comprehensive dental care, screenings, and treatment for veteran residents
• Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of the teeth, gums, and related oral structures
• Perform dental examinations and utilize diagnostic procedures and instruments
• Clean, fill, extract, and replace teeth; design and fit crowns, bridges, dentures, and other oral appliances
• Prescribe medications as appropriate
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on resident needs
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality resident care
• Provide clinical supervision to dental assistants and support staff assigned to the clinic
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided

DDS/DMD Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited educational institution
• Licensed as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in the state where the position is located
• License must be active and in good standing
• 1+ years of relevant Dentist (DDS or DMD) experience preferred
• Experience working with geriatric, long-term care, or special needs populations is a plus
