Physicians Assistant - Wasilla, AK

Are you an experienced Physician Assistant looking for a high-impact clinical role in one of Alaska’s most unique settings? Cell Staff is a nationwide healthcare staffing company that has partnered with the Alaska Department of Corrections to place experienced providers. We’re looking for a skilled, autonomous PA with a strong acute care or primary care background ready to make a real difference.

Position Details

• Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm (10-hour shifts)
• 4 days per week — enjoy a 3-day weekend every week
• 13-week contract with option to extend
• Start: ASAP
• Location: Wasilla, Alaska (Mat-Su Valley)

Duties

• Provide comprehensive medical care to a large, complex correctional population
• Manage acute and chronic conditions across a maximum-security facility
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, NPs, RNs, and mental health staff
• Conduct sick calls, chronic care visits, and urgent/emergency evaluations

Compensation

Local Package

• Estimated weekly gross (40 hrs): $3,872.00

Stipend (Travel) Package

• Estimated weekly gross (40 hrs): $4,092.00

Weekly pay. Travel stipends available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Active Alaska PA license (or actively pursuing)
• DEA license required
• Minimum 2 years of PA experience — ER, Family Practice, or Primary Care background strongly preferred
• Broad clinical competency required — this is an acute and primary care environment
• Corrections or institutional healthcare experience a plus
• BLS (AHA) required; ACLS preferred
• Must be able to clear a State of Alaska background check
• Covid vaccine not required
