Dental Assistant - Gainesboro, Tennessee

Cell Staff is a nationwide healthcare staffing company that has partnered with the Tennessee Department of Health to help them find an AMAZING dental assistant. We’re looking for you to become a valuable part of the team.

Dental Assistant Details

• On-site position at the Jackson County Health Department in Cookeville, TN
• Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm CST
• 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
• 12-month contract, renewable
• Regional travel may be required

Dental Assistant Duties

• Assist dentist using 4-handed technique during patient treatment
• Disinfect operatory and sterilize instruments between every patient
• Expose and prepare x-rays in compliance with infection control and safety guidelines
• Manage and maintain dental equipment and supplies including autoclave, ultrasonic cleaner, and dental unit water lines
• Complete patient dental health records (electronic and paper)
• Provide post-treatment instructions and patient education
• Support daily productivity goals in alignment with TDH Model Dental Clinic guidelines

Dental Assistant Qualifications

• Current registration as a dental assistant in the State of Tennessee with Dental Radiology Certification
• Current CPR certification required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Coronal polishing, nitrous oxide monitoring, and dental sealant placement certifications preferred
• Must be a current Tennessee resident or willing to relocate prior to start
