Are you a Medical Assistant looking for a stable, Monday through Friday schedule with no nights and no weekends? Cell Staff is partnering with the Tennessee Department of Health to place a contract Medical Assistant at a public health clinic in Monterey, TN.
The Opportunity
Join a supportive clinical team at a Tennessee Department of Health community clinic serving the Upper Cumberland region. This is a straightforward public health MA role with consistent daytime hours and meaningful patient impact in your community.
Position Details
Location: Monterey, TN (on-site)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Contract Length: 12 months
Start Date: September 28, 2026
Pay: $18.00/hr
What You’ll Do
- Perform venipuncture, capillary sticks, vital signs, growth measurements, and vision and hearing screenings
- Assist licensed nurses, APRNs, and physicians during patient exams
- Accurately document in the electronic health record
- Perform quality control on point of care laboratory tests and maintain vaccine and medication room temperature logs
- Collect, code, handle, and ship specimens
- Maintain and organize clinic supply areas and contribute to infection control standards
What We’re Looking For
- Medical Assistant certification or equivalent clinical experience
- Venipuncture experience required
- EHR documentation experience preferred
- Tennessee residency required
