Currently we are looking for a full time Registered Dietitian (RDS) for 40 hours per week to work at Coalinga State Hospital. This position is correctional based and deals with inmate population although not located on prison grounds.

Educational / Certification Requirements:
Current Registered Dietitian license for the state of California
On year of full-time experience providing hands-on health care
Full command, verbal and written, of the English language
Current Health Certificate (if applicable)
Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
One year prior professional nursing experience preferred
Current BLS card
Successful completion of screening test for the clinical specialty area(s) with a score of 80% or greater
Physical/Work Environment Requirements
May work at off-site facility / client site
May be exposed to blood-borne pathogens, chemotherapeutic and toxic chemicals
Registered Dietitian Job Description (RDS): Dietitian must assess the nutritional needs of all residents in Long Term Care.
Dietitian must provide instruction and information for Patience Therapeutic or Regular diets for all residents.
Based on nutrition assessments or follow-up assessments, the dietitian will provide written treatment goals to the Planning Treatment Team, prior to team meetings for each patient as needed. The dietitian will provide training to staff when needed, and for proper implementation of both short and long-term goals. Dietitian must comply with HIPPA Regulations.
Dietitian must participate in resident assessment and inter-disciplinary care planning required by Federal and State guidelines.
