Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Correctional Facility

CNA Details

• Full Time Schedules

• Some weekends may be required

• 8 or 12 hour shifts available depending on the facility

• Contract Position (flexibility with shift availability is a plus)

CNA Duties

• Provide basic patient care to incarcerated individuals under supervision of nursing staff

• Assist residents/patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and daily needs

• Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes in condition to medical staff

• Assist in maintaining a clean, secure, and sanitized medical unit environment

• Prepare and assist during patient intake screenings, sick calls, and routine clinics

• Maintain strict adherence to security guidelines and safety protocols

• Communicate effectively with medical staff, security personnel, and correctional officers

• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice

CNA Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited educational institution

• Licensed as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in good standing by the State in which the position is located

• 1+ year of relevant Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) experience (Correctional, Medical-Surgical, or Urgent Care background preferred)

• Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and security clearance
